Office of the Executive Chairman

The Office of the Executive Chairman is responsible for overseeing the administration and operations of the local government. It plays a crucial role in policy-making, governance, and ensuring that the needs of the community are met effectively.

The Executive Chairman works closely with various departments to implement programs and services that benefit the public. This includes managing budgets, coordinating with other government entities, and engaging with citizens to address their concerns.

Board Secretary/Legal unit

  • Performing secretarial functions of the Board
  • Handling all legal matters of the Board
  • Facilitating information sharing and peer review with sister organizations on revenue related matters
  • Enforcing of Personal Income Tax Administration (PITA) Law on defaulting organisations and individuals
  • Coordinating affairs of the departments and zonal offices.

ICT Unit

  • Deploying and maintaining all Information Technology (IT) software and hardware components.
  • Managing taxpayer identification number scheme.
  • Attending to all IT needs of various departments within the Board.

Information & Intelligence unit

  • Gathering intelligence reports on prospective taxpayers.
  • Identifying new sources of revenue.

Tax Audit unit

  • Carrying out of periodic reviews of tax rates
  • Participating in quarterly revenue meetings.
  • Submitting State positions on personal income tax reviews.
